Three situations
When the back of a label stops being invisible
It hangs. A tag on a bottle neck or a luggage tag turns freely — half the time the customer sees the reverse. Printing it turns a blank white side into a second usable surface for the story, the recipe or the terms.
It wraps. A seal folded over the edge of a box shows its reverse on the inside face; on a tamper seal, that reverse is often where the instruction to check it belongs.
The packaging is transparent. On a clear pouch or a glass jar, the back of an internal label is read through the material — and a blank white rectangle inside a premium pack is exactly the kind of detail buyers notice.

Double-sided — what customers ask us
How much does the second side cost?
About €45 per 100 on this stock — €218 for both faces against €173 for one. It is far less than printing and applying a second label, which is the usual alternative and always shows a seam.
Is the back readable through the adhesive?
On a hanging tag, yes — nothing covers it. When the label is stuck onto transparent packaging, the reverse is read through the adhesive and the pack material, so keep that side simple: large type, flat colours, no fine detail.
Which adhesive?
Permanent for a seal or a fixed tag, removable when the tag has to be taken off — a neck medal a customer keeps, for instance. Both are available on this stock at the same price.
Can I have different artwork on each side?
Yes, that is the normal case: brand on the front, information on the back. Send both files with the order and we show them together on the proof, aligned as they will actually be produced.
Why polyester rather than paper?
Because a double-sided label is nearly always handled, turned over and sometimes wet — a hanging tag on a bottle in an ice bucket, a pass in a pocket. Polyester survives that; a paper tag creases and softens within a day.
