It costs roughly twice the other textured stocks, €427 per 100 against €205, and it is the right choice in exactly one situation: when the label has to feel expensive in the hand before anything is read.

The honest question
Twice the price of Tintoretto. Why?
Because the sheet itself is a different object: heavier, deeper embossed, and produced in far smaller volumes than the papers that sit at €205. Nothing in our process changes — the difference is the material, and we pass it on as it is.
Whether it is worth it depends on one number: the value of what the label is stuck to. On a €12 bottle, €4.27 of label per hundred is indefensible. On a €90 perfume, a €200 gift box or a library cuvée, the paper is a rounding error and the first thing the buyer touches. Below that, take Tintoretto at €205 — it is the same conversation for half the money.
One practical consequence: Luce is at its best plain. A deep relief and a busy design fight each other, and the paper wins.

Three things to know about a deeply embossed paper
Small type suffers
The relief is deep enough to break letters under about 7 point. Mandatory legal text is fine at normal sizes; decorative fine print is not.
It applies best on flat surfaces
A heavy sheet resists a tight curve. On a slim bottle or a small jar, keep the label narrow or expect the edges to lift.
No varnish, ever
A coating fills the relief and turns the most expensive paper in the range into an ordinary one. It ships unprotected, and it belongs on products handled with care.

Embossed Luce — what customers ask us
Why does Luce cost twice as much as the other textured papers?
The sheet is heavier, more deeply embossed and made in much smaller volumes than kraft, laid or Tintoretto. Our printing, cutting and setup are identical — the whole difference is the material, and it is passed on without a markup of its own.
When is it worth the money?
When the label is the first physical contact with an expensive product: perfume, prestige cuvées, gift packaging. At €427 per 100 the label costs €4.27 a unit — indefensible on a €12 bottle, invisible on a €90 one. Below that threshold, Tintoretto at €205 gives you most of the effect.
Does it take hot foil?
Yes, and it is the classic combination — foil sits proud of the embossing and catches the light on the raised areas. The supplement is the same as on every textured paper: about €195 on a run of 100.
Can I varnish or laminate it?
No, and we would talk you out of it. Any coating fills the relief you paid for. This stock is supplied unprotected, which means it suits products that are handled carefully and stay dry.
Is there a cheaper way to get a deep texture?
Two. Tintoretto at €205 is felt-marked with real relief, irregular rather than deep. Or a relief varnish printed on a smooth paper, listed in the options — a raised layer on top rather than a textured sheet, which reads differently but costs far less.
