Tagsfab — Label Manufacturing

Numbered, barcode & QR labels

Every label different. One print run.

The short answer: sequential numbers, EAN and Code 128 barcodes, unique QR codes and name lists are printed label by label inside the same run — from 100 labels, not from ten thousand. You send a starting number or the list you already have; everything else is ours.

What we print

Four kinds of data that change label by label

Labels printed with incrementing batch numbers and barcodes

Sequential numbering & barcodes

0001, 0002, 0003… with or without a prefix, plus EAN-13, Code 128 and GS1 barcodes. Give us the starting number and the quantity.

Unique QR codes & name lists

One distinct QR code per label — authentication, per-item tracking, a page of its own for each unit — or your list of names and codes printed line by line.

Passes, tickets & access

Numbered parking passes, entry stickers, cloakroom pairs — a printed number is what makes a pass checkable and a duplicate obvious.

Serialised seals

A VOID or destructible seal with its own serial number stops being a sticker and becomes a line in your log that a missing number contradicts.

Pricing

What variable data adds to a run

Variable data is priced as an option on top of the label itself, per run — not per label. The figures below are the supplement added to your quantity, whatever material and size you have chosen.

QuantityNumbering & barcodesUnique QR & name listsPer label, numbering
100+ £96+ £109£0.96
500+ £98+ £111£0.20
1 000+ £105+ £119£0.10
2 000+ £116+ £131£0.060
3 000+ £126+ £142£0.043

Supplements excluding VAT, added to the price of the label itself. The quote tool shows both lines for your own material, size and quantity. Above 10 000 labels, quantities are quoted at volume rates — up to millions.

What you send us

A number or a list. Nothing else.

For a sequence, a starting number and a quantity are enough — we build the series, keep the leading zeros consistent and check that nothing repeats. For a list you already hold, send it exactly as it is, in Excel or CSV, exported from whatever system produced it.

You are never asked to prepare a print-ready file, to merge columns or to generate the codes yourself. Check digits, quiet zones, bar widths and QR error correction are our job, and they are what decides whether the code scans first time on a warehouse gun or a phone camera.

FAQ

Numbered labels — what customers ask us

What is the minimum quantity for numbered labels?

100 labels, the same minimum as any other label. Variable data is an option on the run, not a separate print job — which is why a hundred numbered seals or a hundred unique QR codes is a normal order here and a special case almost everywhere else.

Do I have to send an Excel file?

No. For sequential numbering, a starting number and a quantity are enough — we generate the sequence. If you already hold a list of codes, names or serials, send it as it is, in Excel or CSV, and we handle the layout, the leading zeros and the check digits. You are never asked to prepare a print-ready file.

Can every label carry a different QR code?

Yes. Each label can carry its own QR code pointing to its own URL — per-unit authentication, per-item tracking, a landing page unique to the customer who scans it. The same option covers name lists, where the printed text changes label by label.

Which barcode formats do you print?

EAN-13, Code 128 and GS1 codes, printed at a size that scanners read reliably. Send the numbers; we handle the check digit, the quiet zone and the bar width. A barcode printed too small or too tight to its edge is the single most common reason a label fails at the till or on the line.

Which materials can carry variable data?

The families built for product identification and traceability: coated papers, synthetic films, industrial films and security films — VOID and destructible included. Creative and textured papers are not part of the variable-data range; if your design needs both, tell us and we look at the run together.
