The one thing worth knowing
The small fixed square is the cheapest way to buy 100, and the dearest way to buy 3 000
A 20 × 20 mm square costs £38 for 100 — the lowest price in the whole catalogue. Order 3 000 of the same square and it is £118, while a free-shape label three times the size, up to 55 × 70 mm, is only £71. The fixed squares are cut on standing tools and priced per piece; the free-shape bands carry their setup once and then barely move.
So the rule is simple: below roughly 500 labels, take the fixed square if it fits what you need. Above it, take the band — you will pay less for a bigger label. The configurator shows both, and the quantity you enter decides which one wins.

High-tack comes with the squares
Permanent — the default
For cartons, paper, film and smooth plastic. Available on the four free-shape bands, from £55 per 100. This is the one to take unless the surface argues otherwise.
High-tack — and the three squares
A stronger grab for rough card, recycled board, textured crates and anything cold or dusty. It is also the only adhesive offered on the 20, 35 and 50 mm squares, which is why those start at £38.
Both ship unprotected: no varnish, no lamination. A coating over a blank label would sit between your print head and the paper — see the blank range for the full list of stocks.
Matching your printer
Coated paper takes ink and ribbon, not heat
This stock is not thermal paper: a direct thermal printer will run it through and leave it blank, because there is no heat-sensitive coating to darken. It is made for thermal transfer — a printer with a ribbon — and it takes an inkjet or a laser just as well on short runs.
If your machine has no ribbon, you need the thermal paper instead, at £56 per 100 blank. And if you are not sure which of the two you own, send us the model with your request rather than guessing: it is the single most common mix-up on blank rolls.

FAQ
Blank paper — what customers ask us
Why is a bigger label cheaper than a smaller one at 3 000?
Because they are not priced the same way. The 20, 35 and 50 mm squares are cut on standing tools and charged per piece, so the price climbs steadily with the quantity. The free-shape bands carry their setup once, then follow the material only — £55 for 100 and £71 for 3 000 up to 55 × 70 mm. The two curves cross at around 700 labels.
Will it work in my printer?
In a thermal transfer printer, yes, and in an inkjet or a laser for short runs. Not in a direct thermal printer: this paper has no heat-sensitive coating and will come out blank. Tell us the model with your request and we confirm the stock rather than leaving you to test it.
Can I have it varnished or laminated?
No. A varnish or a lamination would sit between your print head and the paper, and nothing would mark. Every blank stock ships unprotected for that reason. Where the printed label has to survive water or abrasion, the answer is a film — see blank polyester — not a coating.
Which adhesive should I take?
Permanent for cartons, paper, film and smooth plastic. High-tack for rough or recycled board, textured crates, dusty or cold surfaces. High-tack is also the only adhesive on the three fixed squares. At 100 labels they cost the same; the choice is about the surface, not the budget.
What is the largest blank paper label?
Up to 100 × 70 mm, free shape. That is the ceiling across the whole blank range. An A6 carrier label at 105 × 148 mm sits above it and is supplied printed, on white polyester — see shipping labels.
