When the plate has to carry a logo, not just a number
The short answer: the same industrial polyester and the same reinforced adhesive as the one-colour range, printed in four colours — for brand marks, colour-coded warnings and pictograms that have to be exact. €267 per 100 against €211 in one colour, and worth it only when the colour carries information.
Any shape within this size — rectangle, round, oval or custom die-cut.

Three cases where colour carries meaning
A brand mark on equipment. A manufacturer's logo in its exact colours on a machine that will be photographed for a decade of catalogues.
Colour coding. Voltage classes, gas lines, maintenance intervals — where the colour is the information and a black-and-white plate loses it.
Regulatory pictograms. Hazard symbols are defined by their colours; printing them in one ink is not an option. For chemical containers specifically, see the sizing rules on the GHS page.
Outside those three cases, one colour at €211 is sharper on small text and cheaper — which is why most rating plates we produce are still black on white.

FAQ
Industrial, full colour — what engineers ask us
Is it the same film as the one-colour range?
The same family of industrial polyester with a reinforced adhesive and a gloss lamination. What changes is the printing: four inks instead of one, €267 per 100 instead of €211.
Will the colours fade outdoors?
Slowly, and the lamination is what slows them. Expect several years in European conditions; dark solid colours hold longer than pale tints, and a logo printed in a light pastel is the first thing to go. For a plate that must be exact after ten years, discuss it with us before the order.
Can I print a photograph on it?
Yes, it is standard four-colour printing. Bear in mind that an industrial label is usually read at arm's length in poor light — a photograph rarely adds anything a strong pictogram would not do better.
Does it carry variable data?
Yes — serial numbers, barcodes and unique QR codes printed in the run from 100 labels, exactly as on the one-colour films. See numbered labels.
What about really rough surfaces?
A rigid polyester bridges a strongly textured surface. For drums, moulded housings and cable ducts, the heavy-duty polyethylene film at €249 conforms far better — same industrial range, softer material.
Colour, when the colour means something.
Full-colour industrial polyester, from €267 per 100.
