Why it exists
The metallic paper problem
Bright silver paper at €140 per 100 is the cheapest metal effect we sell, and it is the wrong choice for half the products that want it. Drinks, bathroom cosmetics, anything chilled — the base is paper, so condensation swells it and the label lifts within a season.
Metallised polypropylene solves it without changing the look: same mirror surface, printed in full colour, on a film that does not absorb. Water beads on it, the ice bucket does nothing, and the lamination protects the ink where the bottle is handled. The price difference is €67 per hundred — cheap insurance on a product that gets wet.

Metallised film — what customers ask us
What is the difference with silver paper?
The base. Silver paper at €140 per 100 is a metallised paper — cheaper, and finished by condensation. This is the same metal effect on a polypropylene film at €207: waterproof, flexible, and the only metallic that belongs on a chilled or wet product.
Silver or gold?
Both, at the same price. The choice is the same as on the papers: gold reads warm and traditional, silver cool and technical. On a chilled bottle, silver with condensation on it is a look in itself.
Can I print photographs on it?
Yes — it is full-colour printing, and the metal shows through the lighter areas exactly as it does on foil-effect paper. Areas that must be a true, flat colour need an opaque white printed underneath first.
Does it need a lamination?
It needs some protection, and the range offers a gloss varnish or a gloss/matt lamination. The film is waterproof but the ink on top of it is not — on a bottle that is handled wet, take the lamination.
What are the patterned versions?
Two decorative metallised films: a fine dot pattern at €218 per 100 and an overlapping scale pattern at €242. The relief is embossed into the metal itself, so it survives whatever you print on top. Both are worth seeing as a physical proof — they photograph badly and look excellent in the hand.
