Public sector — UK & Ireland
Public sector labels: written quote, VAT invoice, purchasing cards accepted
The short answer: councils, NHS trusts, schools and academies, universities, housing associations, charities and public bodies in the UK and Ireland order their labels from us on a simple written quote, with a proof before production, a VAT invoice from our UK company and delivery duty paid. Below the publication thresholds of the Procurement Act 2023, a quotation is all your buyer needs.
The framework, in plain terms
Below the thresholds, a quotation is enough
Thresholds: £12,000, £30,000, £4,000
Under the Procurement Act 2023, contracts below £12,000 for central government and £30,000 for other contracting authorities — councils, NHS trusts, schools, universities — sit below the publication thresholds: your buyer orders on a written quotation, following your own internal rules. In Ireland, purchases under £4,000 need no formal quotes, and up to £43,000 three written quotes are usual — ours is written to be one of them. Every quote states the product reference, quantity, specification, lead time, price ex-VAT and VAT, and stays valid for 2 months.
Payment on order
Government Procurement Card (GPC) and other purchasing cards, credit or debit card, or bank transfer. Production starts once payment and the online proof are both confirmed. We do not offer 30-day terms after delivery, so this page is for purchases compatible with payment on order: purchasing cards, imprest accounts, departmental and project budgets.
Purchase orders and VAT invoice
Official purchase orders are welcome: send it with the signed quote and the PO number appears on the VAT invoice. The invoice is issued by Oficio Ltd (Company number 12676003 (England & Wales, incorporated 17 June 2020), VAT GB357610493, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR, United Kingdom) and is also available in your online account. Irish bodies with a VAT number: intra-EU reverse charge where relevant.
Delivery duty paid
Tracked delivery to the UK and Ireland with duties handled before the parcel leaves — no customs surprise at the goods-in desk, whichever side of the border your site is on. Delivery is priced with the order, per country and per weight; the delivery page sets out how.
What we supply to public bodies
Labels that end up on assets, doors, samples and seals
Six families cover most of what a council, a trust or a school orders. Each is printed to your specification — material, size, adhesive, finish — and every job starts with a proof you approve online.

Asset and inventory labels
Numbered and barcoded, on polyester or destructible film: laptops and tablets, lab equipment, furniture, tools and plant. Sequential numbering matched to your asset register, QR codes that open the maintenance record.

Tamper-evident VOID and seal labels
Seals for ballot boxes, evidence bags, medicine cupboards, meter boxes, server cabinets and USB ports. VOID film leaves its message on the surface, destructible film breaks into fragments — either way, an attempt shows.

Safety and warning labels
Electrical, plant-room, workshop and depot warnings on outdoor-grade film that survives cleaning agents and weather; GHS hazard labels for school science stores and estates chemical cupboards.

Internal signage and window stickers
Room numbers, wayfinding, opening hours, recycling and fire-safety notices on doors and glazing. Removable adhesive where the building is listed or leased, permanent where the notice must stay.

Traceability labels for labs, kitchens and archives
Sample and specimen labels for laboratories, allergen and date labels for central kitchens, archive-box and file labels with barcodes or QR codes. Variable data printed label by label in the same run, from your spreadsheet.

School and NHS labels
Equipment labels for classrooms and IT suites, ward, clinic and pharmacy labels, library and loan-stock labels — on wipe-clean synthetic film with a permanent adhesive that holds through daily disinfection.
Only have a logo and a list? Artwork is prepared in-house from your brief and shown on the proof before anything is printed.

Everything your finance team asks for, in one pack

FAQ
Public sector — what buyers ask us
Do you accept official purchase orders?
Yes. Send the purchase order with the signed quote and the PO number is printed on the VAT invoice. Payment is still due on order: production starts once payment and the online proof are confirmed.
Can you invoice a public body ex-VAT?
UK public bodies pay VAT like any other customer; the invoice shows the net amount, the VAT and the gross amount, so your finance team can recover what your VAT status allows. Irish bodies that give us a valid VAT number are invoiced under the intra-EU reverse charge where it applies.
Are you listed on Crown Commercial Service frameworks?
We supply directly, on quotation, below the publication thresholds of the Procurement Act 2023. Framework listings are in progress; we do not claim membership of any framework we are not yet on. If your organisation requires a framework route, tell us which one and we will say plainly whether we can serve you through it.
What are the lead times for public-sector label orders?
Production takes 2 to 10 working days once the proof is approved, depending on the material and the finish, followed by tracked delivery. Tell us the date you need the labels on site and the quote confirms whether it can be met.
Can you deliver to several sites?
Yes, on quotation. Give us the list of sites and the quantity for each; the labels are packed per site and each parcel is tracked. One purchase order and one VAT invoice can cover every site.
A written quote, a proof, a VAT invoice. Nothing else to chase.
Describe the labels you need — we answer within 2 working hours, purchase order or not.
