Tagsfab — Label Manufacturing

VOID Security Labels · Industrial & security

The evidence stays where the inspector looks

The short answer: a VOID film separates when it is lifted. A repeated pattern — VOID, or your own wording — stays printed on the object, and the label goes away carrying the negative. Nobody has to keep the removed seal as proof: the proof is on the item. From €285 per 100, numbered in the same run.

VOID or destructible

What should be left behind?

Both technologies make tampering visible; they differ in where the evidence ends up. A destructible film fragments and leaves nothing usable — good when the label must never be moved to another item. A VOID film leaves a printed message on the surface — good when someone will inspect the object later and needs to see it at a glance.

Practical difference: VOID polyester is stiff and releases its pattern cleanly on flat, smooth, hard surfaces — glass, painted metal, rigid casings. On textured or moulded plastic, the pattern transfers unevenly and the destructible film is the better answer.

Three conditions

A seal that is not checked is decoration

Cross the opening

A seal on a flat panel proves only that a label was applied. Across a joint, a lid edge or a screw head, it proves the item was opened.

Number every seal

Without a number, tampering is answered with a fresh seal. With one, a missing or duplicated number is a fact in your log.

Check the surface first

VOID needs a hard, smooth surface to release cleanly. On textured plastic the pattern transfers patchily — use a destructible film there.

FAQ

VOID — what customers ask us

Can the word VOID be replaced by our own text?

The pattern is manufactured into the film, so it is chosen from the patterns we manufacture rather than drawn freely. Tell us what you need — a company name or a custom repeated wording — and we check what is available before you design around it.

Does the pattern stay on every surface?

On hard, smooth surfaces — glass, painted metal, rigid plastic casings — it releases cleanly and completely. On textured, powdery or moulded surfaces the transfer is patchy, which is a good reason to use a destructible film instead.

White, red or clear?

Red at €285 is the most visible from a distance and the usual choice for warranty seals. White at €294 is neutral and prints well. Clear at €328 is for cases where whatever is under the seal must stay readable — a serial number or a display, for instance.

Is it removable without leaving the message?

No, and that is the design. A no-residue grade exists which lifts the message without leaving adhesive behind, but the seal is still destroyed. If you need something that comes off cleanly, you want a removable label, not a security one.

Does the price fall much with quantity?

Less than on a paper label, because the film is expensive: €294 at 100 labels and €562 at 3 000, so €2.94 down to €0.19 each. The curve flattens early — but that also means a run of 100 is not disproportionately penalised.

The label leaves. The message stays.
