Industrial & security labels

Two families, one requirement: it must not come off

The short answer: industrial films stay put for the life of the equipment — polyester and aluminium with reinforced 3M adhesives, from €211 per 100. Security films do the opposite on purpose: they destroy themselves when lifted, from €162. Both carry serial numbers printed in the run.

Worth knowing before you plan

Security material does not get cheap in volume

Most label ranges reward quantity heavily: the die and the setup are paid once and the rest is paper. Security films behave differently, because the film itself is the expensive part. On VOID polyester a run goes from €294 at 100 labels to €562 at 3 000 — the price per label still falls from €2.94 to €0.19, but the curve flattens where a paper label would keep dropping.

Two practical consequences: ordering a small run is far less penalising here than elsewhere, and pre-buying five years of seals to « get the price down » rarely pays for itself.

Price by quantity

Two curves, side by side

Both at 55 × 70 mm: a destructible 3M seal printed in one colour, and a full-colour VOID polyester. The seal is the cheapest way in at 100; the VOID film costs more but keeps the message on the object.

2 000€805€0.40€474€0.24
3 000€1 115€0.37€562€0.19

Excluding VAT and delivery. Note the crossover: between 500 and 1,000 labels the VOID film becomes the cheaper of the two per unit, because the 3M destructible material is priced by the square metre. The quote tool compares your exact size. Above 10 000 labels, quantities are quoted at volume rates — up to millions.

FAQ

Industrial & security — what customers ask us

What is a reinforced 3M adhesive for?

Surfaces that a normal adhesive only half touches: powder-coated metal, moulded plastic housings, textured casings, cold or slightly oily parts. A reinforced adhesive grabs on contact and keeps building strength over the following day, which is what stops a label lifting at the corners in service.

Why does one colour cost less than full colour here?

Because most industrial and security labels do not need photographs. A single colour on aluminium polyester starts at €211 per 100 and a destructible seal at €162, while the same materials in full colour start higher. Rating plates, warning labels and warranty seals are typographic objects — one colour is usually both cheaper and more legible.

Do security labels get much cheaper in volume?

Less than other ranges, and it is worth knowing before you plan. On VOID polyester the run price goes from €294 at 100 labels to €562 at 3 000 — the price per label falls from €2.94 to €0.19, but the material itself is expensive, so the curve flattens where a paper label would keep falling.

Can industrial and security labels be numbered?

Yes — both halves of this range carry variable data. Serial numbers, barcodes and unique QR codes are printed label by label in the same run, from 100 labels, which is what turns a rating plate into a traceable unit and a seal into an auditable one.

How small can these labels be cut?

Industrial films go down to 15 × 20 mm — the smallest standard die in the catalogue, for component and cable marking. Security films start at 35 × 30 mm and run to 95 × 105 mm; industrial films go up to 100 × 105 mm.
